Cabo Mexico Tour Guide
We just got home last week from an amazing vacation with my family in Cabo, Mexico. We stayed in San Jose del Cabo which is the sister town to the popular party spot of Cabo San Lucas and we loved it there. Three of my siblings were there with their spouses as well as my parents so we stayed in a private home in a gated community right by the beach in Puerto los Cabos Lenoria and it was perfect for us. This house was amazing. We all had our own rooms with bathrooms and there was a kitchen upstairs and downstairs with anything we needed. The backyard had a walk-out patio to the backyard pool and hot tub complete with a waterfall, hammocks swinging over the water, a waiting pool, three different decks with a fire pit and a couple BBQs, plus the rooftop lounge that was perfect for stargazing. We had some cute ladies cook Mexican dinners for us on nights that we didn't go out and they were so nice. It was so fun getting to try delicious authentic food. We also had access to the clubhouse with a private beach and pool where we paddle boarded, buggy boarded, had a paddle ball tournament, and enjoyed delicious pina coladas. This was our first time visiting baja California and we loved exploring the different areas and gorgeous beaches. I'll never get over that crystal clear water that is so warm. I'm wishing our water was like that here in the south bay. [and if you are looking for an amazing hotel in this area of san jose del cabo, I would recommend the Cabo Azul - it is breathtaking. And there is a delicious gelato spot right across the street]
| GOOD EATS |
Flora Farms [this place is so amazing, you have to go here. the grounds are incredible with some shops, farmland, the restaurant, small grocery, and bar. the whole idea is creating beautiful hand-made food all with their farm fresh ingredients, so the food is unreal and the decor is my favorite.]
Guacamayas [delicious tacos with any kind of meat you want. they also have live music and really good drinks]
Tropicana [we had the brunch here and it was so good. They make up fresh omelets and the most delicious cinnamon french toast as well as traditional mexican dishes - empanadas, enchiladas, rice, beans, the works]
Mama Mia [we loved this restaurant because of the setting on the beach and live band that played great music all night. we all got up to dance! the food is good because you can get great pasta, salads, and burgers instead of mexican food if you need a break;]
Los Claros [these really are the best fish tacos and they come loaded with delicious toppings]
Ten Tu Taco [good tacos and quasadillas with fresh chips and guacamole]
| ATTRACTIONS |
Dolphin Discovery [swim with the dolphins]
Golfing [there are lots of beautiful golf courses here, but they are pretty pricey and in the summer months it's so hot that we didn't even want to be away from the water]
Snorkeling [cabo has some of the most amazing scuba diving spots, but you can get just as good of an experience I think snorkeling here because the water is so clear. Our favorite spots were at Lovers Beach and Cabo Pulmo]
Surfing [we surfed a couple times at the private beach at Cabo Surf where they have boards you can rent and if you want an instructor they are there as well. Paddle boarding is so fun too, but make sure you get a location that is calmer than most of these popular surf spots]
Fishing [they have a beautiful new marina called Marina Puerto Los Cabos where you can fish from or have a boat take you out on a fishing excursion. the summertime is fishing season.]
El Arco de Cabo San Lucas [take a boat ride out to see the amazing famous arch and spend the day at Lovers Beach. We also spent the evening after in Cabo San Lucas because it's a fun town to walk through and eat at one of the great restaurants by the marina.]
Old town Cabo San Lucas [the prettiest painted buildings with lots of good mexican restaurants and little shops to get all your souvenirs for a bargain]
[a little travel tip I would give is to bring lots of cash because it costs money to get cash out in Mexico and the exchange rate is not as good. Everyone will except US dollars so its fine to get your cash before and then you aren't stuck with pesos after the trip. Also bring some Pepto and other medicines because the chances of getting a little sick from the food are pretty high so it's better to bring some just incase;]
