Favorite Christmas PJ's & Books
It’s the most wonderful time of the year and I’ve started to think about all of our Christmas traditions and things I love to do with my kids for the month of December! We have always had the tradition (since my parents did the same thing with me) of giving the kids Christmas pajamas to open up on Christmas Eve that match with the whole family. Then everyone puts them on and cozies up with hot chocolate while they open their other present which is always a different Christmas book with a handwritten note inside from us and then we read the story together by the tree. My grandparents did this tradition when I was little of always giving us a different book at Christmas with a special handwritten note on the inside from them and I loved that we had such a wonderful selection of books to choose from. Now that we have been building our own collection these are the books that we have and ones that I think are classics for every family. I’m hoping to add Christmas Oranges to our collection this year and maybe even eating some oranges while we read it. I also love that small chsitmas story book because it goes great when we pull out our nativity set and tell the story of the night Jesus was born and this book tells it great for kids to understand and read. I just love this time of year so much and the special feeling that it brings. There is something so meaningful about having traditions to look forward to with your family each year and to create those memories with your kids that they will want to pass down to their own one day. Hope this list helps you when planning for your own special Christmas nights.
