10 Simple Ideas for Creating Your Morning Routine
“You’ll Never Change Your Life Until You Change Something You Do Daily.
The Secret Of Your Success Is Found In Your Daily Routine.”
I feel like we’ve all been thrown off of our routine the past few months with everything being canceled during quarantine, the kids being out of school and then we moved to a whole new state and have been busy getting into our new life here. It’s starting to feel like we’re getting more settled and into a routine which feels great. I’ve listened to so many different podcasts over the past year that all share how important it is to establish a morning routine for yourself. I’ve been trying to make more of an effort in being consistent for the things I want to accomplish each morning and I love how they are becoming a habit. I always feel the best when I can get to bed early with the kitchen clean, dishwasher loaded and my to-do list ready for the next day. I love waking up before the kids so that I have a moment to myself to pray, read some scriptures and drink my lemon water while stretching and getting ready to exercise before breakfast. Even If I only have time for a quick workout, it feels so much better then if I didn’t make time for anything. We’ve also been creating a morning checklist for our kids when they wake up so that they have to get these things done before they can start playing. Their list includes making their bed, saying their prayers, brushing their teeth, and getting dressed for the day then they can get breakfast and start playing. I usually try to get them to do some reading in the mornings too, but for the summer I’m letting them finish their other tasks anytime before bedtime. I also love making a plan for the day because when I have my day written out the night before I feel like it goes so much smoother then I know what needs to be done for everyone so we all thrive. It’s also important to find moments throughout your day where you can take a moment to yourself even if it’s just going out for a walk or if you can plan a girls night where you can be out doing something fun with friends then take that opportunity because it will fill up your cup so that you can then serve others better. I’ve gone on a couple of hikes this past week with some different girlfriends and it feels so amazing to get out in some beautiful scenery and just take a break from everything.
