Fourth of July Ice Cream Bar
Growing up, summer was always my favorite season because it seems to be the most fun. I love being outside with the long days and warm weather, BBQs with the fam, swimming and beach days, outdoor concerts, homemade ice cream, and some fourth of July fireworks. It's just the best time and makes me so proud to be an American and live in this amazing place we call home. We are usually with family on the fourth of July in Park City, Utah going to the Oakley Rodeo and sporting our best western get-up, but this year we will be with friends here enjoying the beach and grilling some delicious grub. I think ice-cream is the perfect treat for warm summer nights, so I made an ice cream bar that screams red, white and blue. I bought the sugar cones then dipped them in Ghirardelli white chocolate and topped with chopped nuts. I used fresh berries and coconut shavings for the ice cream toppings to go with vanilla, strawberry, or chocolate ice cream. This is the perfect treat for any barbecue. Hope you have a great holiday weekend and Happy Fourth of July!!
