Will Rogers Polo Club

This past weekend we went to the Will Rogers Polo Club and got to watch the afternoon polo matches.  It was so fun because it was our very first time at a polo match and it's something I've always wanted to do.  We sure learned a lot though about the game because we are pretty much clueless when it comes to the actual rules since we've never watched it in person.  I was so surprised at how intense this game is!  I mean they are swinging around a big heavy club trying to hit this little ball while maneuvering a horse around.  That takes some serious skill!  I loved how at halftime, all the spectators walk onto the field and help patch up the holes in the grass from the playing.  We also got to meet some of the players and pet the horses which are in mint condition and probably some of the prettiest horses I've ever seen.  After the game we headed into Brentwood for some shopping and dinner at the Brentwood Country Mart and it made for the perfect day.
