Strawberry Picking
This past Saturday we spent the day up in Moorpark at Underwood Family Farms to experience strawberry season for the first time and we loved it. I've taken Capri up here in the fall for pumpkin season and to do all the fun autumn activities they have for kids, but this was our first springtime visit and it was so pretty. The farm looked completely different with gorgeous landscaping and flowers everywhere with so many animals out in the petting zoo and lots of fun little rides for the kids. We got our own red wagon and took it out to the fields to pick our collection of fresh romain lettuce, beets, carrots, kale, and tons of strawberries. I couldn't believe how many fruits and vegetables they had for us to pick besides the big strawberry fields. Capri was pretty much in heaven the whole time between roaming through the rows picking delicious fruit and seeing all the animals on the farm, it's like a kids dream. I knew it would be fun to pick our own strawberries for the first time, but I didn't know how much better they were going to taste and seriously they are amazing! Everything really is so much better picked fresh I can't believe it. We had the best day with our little family at the farm and especially since Adam got to experience this place with us for the first time too. Definitely on our list of LA favorites.
