I also love making a morning routine because when I have my day written out the night before I feel like it goes so much smoother, then I know what needs to be done for everyone so we all thrive. It’s also important to find moments throughout your day where you can take a moment to yourself even if it’s just going out for a walk or if you can plan a girls night where you can be out doing something fun with friends then take that opportunity because it will fill up your cup so that you can then serve others better. I’ve gone on a couple of hikes this past week with some different girlfriends and it feels so amazing to get out in some beautiful scenery and take a break from everything.
I’ve been sharing more with you about my journey to switch to cleaner and safer skincare products so I wanted to share my go-to makeup routine as well. Once I started learning more about the beauty industry and the lack of laws and regulations right now with how many different chemicals are used, I was amazed at how far behind the U.S. is and it made we want to be more careful about the products I put on my face. One of the first products I made the switch to with my makeup bag was my lipsticks because I love a good lipstick and felt like that was an important place to start since it can get into your mouth. Beautycounter is a clean beauty brand that doesn’t use any harsh chemicals or questionable ingredients so they have become my go-to and I absolutely love everything I’ve tried from them.
Our days are getting numbered here in California and we’ve been trying to squeeze in any favorite spots that we can and order take-out from all of our must-have places since we can’t go in to all of them. We spent a day in Huntington Beach where the kids had so much fun in the sand, it felt amazing. They even got to play with their cute little cousin, Ivan. Since all of our beaches and trails have been shut down for the past two months, it feels like the greatest things to dip our toes in the ocean again
