Little Girls Nursery
I recently finished a nursery that I designed for a client in New York City and I wanted to share my favorites from the room design. This lucky little lady gets a beautiful room in a flat in the city that already had hardwood floors and an exposed brick wall so we had some great things to work with. We painted the brick white to go with the color scheme of the room, but if you want an easy way to add brick to a room you can use brick tiles like the ones linked below that can be added to a room wall like tile and then paint them the color you want. The room was based off of this gorgeous Nina Campbell birdcage wallpaper that my client became in love with after going through lots of different options. The silver tones in the wallpaper were accented with the antique mirror in the crib and the wall mirrors hanging above the daybed. We chose a floor lamp chandelier since the ceilings are too low to hang a chandelier from the ceiling and it really gives the elegant feminine feel that this new mama wanted. With lots of neutral colors, I tried to bring in different textures in the different fabrics and throw pillows to give lots of design elements. If anyone is interested in E-Design you can contact me and I'd love to work together on creating a dream room for you.
